- Why does the Fire department pull down sheet rock while fighting the fire?
The firefighters must make sure that there is no fire remaining in the building before leaving the scene. This includes any fire that may be inside the walls or attic spaces.

- Why do firefighters break windows out and cut holes in the roof?
Because heat rises, firefighters will break windows and cut holes in the roof to ventelate these hot gases. This allows them to get to the fire quicker and safer in order to minimze the damage or to find potential victims.

- Why do I see other districts equipment in Level Cross?
In order to provide the best care, we often train and work with other departments.
