- When an emergency vehicle is approaching what should I do?
When an emergency vehicle is approaching, you should slow down and pull to the right. If the emergency vehicles are parked on the right side, please slow down and pass as far to the left as you can. Also, watch for firefighters directing traffic. Always remember that they may be responding to a loved on of yours and in North Carolina you can be fined for not yeilding to an emergency vehicle.
